International Poetry Reading slated at UWEC for April 28

Now, perhaps more than ever, it’s important to take time to learn about and appreciate different cultures and languages. UW-Eau Claire will host its 15th annual International Poetry Reading virtually this year on Wednesday, April 28. This event was founded by Dr. Audrey Fessler and Dr. Jeff Vahlbusch to bring together people who have a love for both poetry and diverse cultures. Events in the past have showcased poetry in more than 40 different languages including Korean, Hmong, Icelandic, and more. Learning about different cultures is a great way to bring communities together, especially after having to be apart for so long. This year, the poetry reading will take place via Zoom.
