City of Eau Claire Economic Development Manager Aaron White was recently elected to the board of directors of  the Wisconsin Economic Development Association. WEDA is a statewide nonprofit that is focused on expanding Wisconsin’s economy.

“I am excited and honored to join the WEDA Board,” White said after he was elected in February. “The organization provides a great support platform for economic developers across the state, including networking, resource sharing, advocacy, and education, and I look forward to being part of the leadership team. Great things are happening in Wisconsin and in the Eau Claire region, and I am pleased to be involved with an organization like WEDA that further helps advance economic growth.”

White has spent nearly 13 years in the economic development field, the past two with the City of Eau Claire.

“We look forward to his proven leadership and the significant value he will provide drawing on his experience and expertise in the field of economic development,” said WEDA President and CEO Mary Perry. “He is highly regarded in the industry, and I am confident his work as a member of the WEDA Board will enhance our efforts to advance the Wisconsin economy.”
