Women’s Business Center Offering $2,500 Start-Up Grants

The Western Wisconsin Women’s Business Center is providing up to $2,500 to cover the start-up expenses of new businesses in Eau Claire, Trempealeau, Jackson, or Buffalo counties. Eligible businesses must sign up for free business counseling through the Women’s Business Center, a program of the Western Dairyland Community Action Agency. Eligible businesses must launch prior to March 31 and can apply online by visiting successfulbusiness.org and clicking on the “One-on-One Counseling” icon. The Women’s Business Center helps people interested in starting, expanding, or improving small businesses primarily in an 11-county region of Wisconsin. Its services are designed to provide entrepreneurs with access to individualized as well as group business training, referrals, financing, technology, and ongoing business case management services.
