“Explore Well” by Wendy Barringer

Wendy Barringer is a retired social worker living in Eau Claire. She works on artwork nearly every day. Her passion for the arts and travel influence her artwork.

From the artist: “Wendy Barringer’s cover art is a mixed media piece using acrylic and collage. The influence for this piece is primarily about travel – traveling to Mexico and northern Wisconsin among various other destinations. In travel one needs to plan some and once the planning is done the exploring begins. Wendy likes to use her travel experiences and encounters as subjects in her art pieces. She has experimented with acrylics, watercolor, pen and ink, and collage. She has taken classes online and in person through the years and has been doing art since she was 15 years old. One of Wendy’s favorite artists is Frida Kahlo. Her work is currently available at Tangled Up in Hue in Eau Claire.”
