Nestlé Health Science announced in early December that it plans to invest $50 million to expand its Eau Claire manufacturing facility, a move that is expected to add 70 jobs. The Eau Claire plant makes medial nutritional products, infant formula, and nutritional drinks. According to an announcement from the Swiss conglomerate, the expansion will make the Eau Claire factory the largest Nestlé Health Science manufacturing facility in the world. “The community has been vital to our success for over 30 years, so we’re excited to deepen our partnership and increase local economic opportunity through the facility expansion,” said Jean-Denis Fournier, Vice President of Technical & Production Nestlé Health Science USA.
