some figures to ponder while you look for a parking spot

V1 Staff |

405

Number of parking spots in the city-owned Farwell/Gibson Parking Garage, next to The Lismore Hotel in downtown Eau Claire, which is nearing the end of its useful life and is expected to be demolished in the near future.

57%

The parking garage’s peak occupancy, according to data collected during 2019. (City Hall was closed when the data was collected, so numbers are likely artificially low.)

200

Number of parking spots in downtown Eau Claire’s Block 7, which is expected to be replaced with commercial and/or residential buildings in the near future.

22%

Peak Friday-night occupancy in the Block 7 lot. According to a recent report by a city consultant, these 44 spaces could be absorbed by the downtown’s existing parking supply.
