THIS IS OUR JAM. Tony Jacks, a World War II veteran living at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in Chippewa Falls, recently celebrated his 100th birthday and was featured on a Today Show segment celebrating centenarians. As congratulations, Jacks’ face appears on a label of Smuckers jam. What sweeter way to mark 100 years?

MAKE THE SEASON BRIGHT. All through the holiday season until New Years Eve, Downtown Eau Claire Inc. is hosting its first-ever Winter Window Competition. If you’ve noticed local windows looking merry and bright, consider voting for your favorite at downtowneauclaire.org/winterwindow

HIT US WITH YOUR BEST SHOT. While it will be months before the vaccine is available to everyone, this hopeful feeling is a welcome change of pace.
