National Guard Begins Free COVID-19 Testing in Eau Claire

NOTE: The Eau Claire City-County Health Department has clarified the address of the drive-through testing site as 6697 U.S. Highway 12 West, Eau Claire.


A free COVID-19 testing site staffed by the Wisconsin National Guard will operate Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays in Eau Claire until early December.

The new regional testing site will be at 6415 U.S. Highway 12, just off the North Crossing (Highway 312) on Eau Claire’s north side, the Eau Claire City-County Health Department announced Thursday. Here are the full details:

WHAT:

COVID-19 Test with less invasive nasal swabs

COST:

Free. No insurance needed.

WHO:

Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms (see below) or who has had close contact with someone who tested positive (people who have been asked to quarantine). Note: Parents must be present to consent to testing for people age 5-17.

WHEN:

Mondays and Fridays: 11am to 7pm

Saturdays: 9am to 5pm

Through Dec. 7, 2020

Register on the day or your test online at https://register.covidconnect.wi.gov/

WHERE:

The testing site is at 6697 U.S. Highway 12 West, Eau Claire. From the North Crossing (aka Highway 312) follow U.S. 12 West toward the north (it’s the exit with a Holiday station at one side and the AmericInn at the other). Signs will guide you to the testing site:
