Though you can't catch a game at the Eau Claire Express, you can get excited for a new sports recreation center slated for Altoona by December.

A-T Elite performance center, co-owned by Chief Banking Officer of CCFBank Tyler Tomesh and his wife, Amanda, is set to be open by early December of this year. Their mission is to create synergy between sports coaching and elite athletes, said Jordan Crass, coach at Cross Trained in Altoona. The sport center will be a place for community members to gain a sense of normalcy surrounding athletics, especially for student athletes in the area. The sporting center plans to partner with a variety of sporting organizations from the area: Cross Trained, Momentum Baseball Academy, ETS Performance Sports, and Wisconsin Playmakers Basketball. The space’s basketball court, batting cages, and workout equipment will be available to use by community members of all ages. The cost for admittance will vary on what type of service you use.
