“It was a privilege to do the first cover artwork for the ‘new look’ of Volume One. I was in school at UW-Eau Claire when this publication first began. I contributed some artwork for covers early on and did original illustrations for several of the short stories published in the early years. I really enjoy drawing people, buildings, and lately landscapes, so this illustration seems to cover all of the bases for me and the community, depicting a bit of Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, and Menomonie. It was an opportunity to show the Chippewa Valley community doing something fun and artistic in the outdoors.”
