Time to Party Down Downtown With Deci’s Downtown Awards

Tom Giffey |

There’s plenty to celebrate in downtown Eau Claire, and Thursday, March 19, will be the night to do it. Downtown Eau Claire Inc. will hold its annual Downtown Awards and Celebration that evening beginning at 5pm in the Jamf Theatre at the Pablo Center at the Confluence, 128 Graham Ave. This year’s celebration will begin with the creation of live art by Eau Claire painter Terry Meyer as well as networking opportunities featuring new downtown businesses. There will be remarks from City Manager Dale Peters and City Council President Terry Weld as well as a ceremony where awards for Volunteer of the Year, Sponsor of the Year, Member of the Year, and Outstanding Achievement will be given out. Tickets are $25 and are available at downtowneauclaire.org/awards. There will be a cash bar (featuring a downtown Eau Claire-themed cocktail!) as well as substantial appetizers served by KP Katering. Sponsored for the evening include Ruder Ware, Associated Bank, the South Barstow Business Improvement District, B~Framed Galleries, Charter Bank, Ganther & Associates, Huebsch Services, Northwestern Bank, and SDS Architects.
