Hark! The Chippewa Valley Writers Guild wants to wish you a merry Christmas with a seasonally themed evening of words and music on Monday, Dec. 16, at the Pablo Center at the Confluence, 128 Graham Ave. The event, titled “Joy to the Word,” is the latest installment of the writers guild’s Sounds and Stories series. Oh come, oh come to listen to local writers B.J. Hollars, Tom Barland, Jan Larson, Bruce Taylor, and Samantha Kobs read their stories. These tales will be enlivened by the UKE Klub, whose members will be strumming seasonal tunes. The event begins at 7pm and is sponsored by Royal Credit Union.
