Bolton Refuge House Gala Raises Money for Survivors

Natalie Derks |

If you need plans for Saturday, Nov. 9, guess what? The Bolton Refuge House Fall Gala is back! Tanya Potter, volunteer coordinator at Bolton – the domestic and sexual violence service provider for the Chippewa Valley – shares that the gala is their biggest fundraiser of the year. “The committee always aims to put on an entertaining event that also helps educate the audience as to what Bolton Refuge House means to the community,” Potter said. This year, the gala includes music from Emily Watkins, dinner from Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse, and speeches by Mitch Anthony and a survivor speaker.  Other highlights include a photo booth and a silent auction with items like a 100th Season Anniversary Packer Football, jewelry, and more. “The gala is a great way to have a fun night out and support victims of domestic violence in a very tangible way,” Potter says. “All proceeds from the gala benefit the survivors who use Bolton Refuge House’s services.” The Bolton Refuge House Fall Gala is at 5pm Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Holiday Inn South. Tickets are available now until Oct. 31 at brhtix.yapsody.com and cost $45 each or $80 for a pair. Learn more at boltonrefuge.org
