The Nunnery, aka Sarah Elstran.

The Nunnery is the solo project of Sarah Elstran, a former local that now makes a unique brand of atmospheric looping folk a cappella from out of the Twin Cities. That special vibe is on full display in a brand new music video for the song “Proud” off of the latest Nunnery record We Are The Stars, released back in June. The video, directed by Elstran, features some stunning choreography and sunny bike-riding and it’s pretty much a must-watch. Check out The Nunnery Facebook page for more at www.facebook.com/thenunnerymusic.

In other musically visual news, Eau Claire country punk band Pit Wagon dropped off a new video for their song “Metal” off of the 2017 album Well. The video was produced and directed by bass player Josh Ingersoll and stars vocalist Emily Jensen in a series of mind-bending and colorful shots, while singer Matt Vold lazily strums shrouded in darkness. Check out the video on YouTube, and catch Pit Wagon with LASKA and the Ben Shaw Band at the Pablo Center Nov. 1.

This fall, the Bad Art Music Festival – a one-day musical blowout organized by local rock band FMDown – will return with 10 bands across two stages at the Pablo Center on Nov. 29. Details are sparse except for a video teaser on the festival’s Facebook page that again puts the festival on Black Friday. Be there when the lineup drops in the next couple weeks at facebook.com/badartfestival.
