If your coworker said “I’m going to My Office” on a Friday evening, you might be taken aback. Who would want to spend Friday night at their office? Well, the clever play on words is exactly the point of the new name of the newly remodeled, newly reopened bar at 408 Galloway St., Eau Claire. With fun games, unique events, and a welcoming atmosphere, this is an office where everyone would want to spend their Friday. My Office was formerly known as My Place, which was sold and closed for remodeling in 2017. Now, after two years, My Office opened over the summer, now expanded and classically furnished. “Our vision is a place that is open and accepting of all types of people,” said Gene Walsh, who previously managed the project. They are working hard to create a safe and welcoming environment for all with their anti-discrimination policy, professional security system, and friendly staff. Saturday is DJ night, and they soon hope to launch live music nights featuring local bands on Thursdays and Fridays. My Office also recently hosted an art show with work by local artist Steve Bateman as well as a “Blacklight Bash,” so check them out on Facebook (@myofficeeau) for the latest fun.
