learn more about Volume One's cover art from Lindsay Rockwell and Bayeté Ross

“Boombox Rox” by Lindsay Rockwell
2017, digital photography, 11x14”

Lindsay Rockwell is a recent UW-Eau Claire graduate with a degree in graphic design, photography, and sculpture. Anyone hiring?

Lindsay Rockwell is an Eau Claire native whose passion for art and photography started as a young child. Her interest in capturing life’s moments and familiarity with 35mm film quickly transformed into an appreciation for abstract art and film manipulations. The majority of her photography is strongly focused on bright colors and interesting textures as well as high-contrast black-and-white images. While on an adventure with her little girl (age 5) at Franconia Sculpture Park in Shafer, Minnesota, Rockwell captured this image of a sculpture, “Got the Power: Minnesota,” by Harlem artist Bayeté Ross Smith (www.bayeterosssmith.com).
