Eau Claire Is All Over Swamp Dogg’s New Music Video
Iconic soul singer Swamp Dogg’s connection to Eau Claire continues to flourish with the release of a new music video for the song “Lonely.” Swamp Dogg – who performed twice in town this summer at Prex Claires and Eaux Claires – has been considered the original D-O double G since 1970, and this new video finds him in desperation at our local landmarks.
Co-directed by Ryan Olson (Marijuana Deathsquads, Poliça), “Lonely” features Swamp Dogg taking a shot at The Joynt, walking through the streets of downtown Eau Claire and sitting on a bench in Phoenix Park.
From The Joynt’s iconic “NO LIGHT BEER” sign to the towering office building of Royal Credit Union, “Lonely” is filled with everyday scenes from the life of a local.
“Lonely” is featured on his recently released album, Love, Loss, and Auto-tune, which was produced by Justin Vernon. The video is well worth your watch, so check it out here.
