Fifth Annual Yellowstone Art Trail Features Hands-On Fun
The Yellowstone Art Trail is back for its fifth year Sept. 8-9. This year, the tour features 27 artists at nine locations around Cadott, Boyd, Chippewa Falls, and the eastern portion of Lake Wissota.
The tour, open from 9am-5pm on Friday and Saturday, will showcase a variety of locally made art, including woodwork, pottery, fine art, sculpture, fiberwork, basketmaking, jewelry, and more. Several locations will also offer food and beverages, making for pleasant lunch stops as you tour peaceful county highways and visit historic buildings including the ZCBJ Bohemian Lodge.
In celebration of the tour’s fifth anniversary, the Nazareth Studio will host free family-friendly workshops where participants can make soap, jewelry, and papercrafts from 12:30-3:30pm on Sept. 8. Face painting will also be available for children at this portion of the event.
“I was really impressed with the quality of the artwork and with how unique and hands-on and high-quality they are,” said Jean Arneson, an event organizer. Tour-goers can enter a drawing with each participating artist to win one of their creations; that’s 27 chances to win local art! Brochures, which list the tour locations and information, are available online at yellowstonearttrail.blogspot.com. This event is free to attend.
