Whether your interest is in dogs, livestock, juggling, food, or beyond, the Eau Claire Counry Fair has an exhibit, show, or stand to suit you.  The fair begins 1pm Sunday with a canine obedience and showmanship competition.  From Wednesday onward, there will be activities ranging from dawn to dusk, including a petting zoo, a treasure hunt, livestock shows, a 5k race, and more.  Consessions and food stands are open every day to fuel the fun.  They’ll also stave off the hunger that comes from watching events such as the cookie or pie baking contests.  On Saturday, catch a horse drawn wagon ride before watching the Military Color Guard presentation in the Tribute Garden.  From noon to 5pm that day there will be a Cowboy Mounted Shooting Show in the Horse Arena.  Sunday, July 29 closes the fair with an antique tractor display, an all-day silent auction, a rocket launch, pedal tractor pulls, and more.  The Fair awards program is at 3pm, after which exhibits pull out and everyone can begin pining for next year’s festivities.
