Pablo Center Seeks Artists for First Exhibit

Lauren Fisher |

Years of planning, millions of dollars, and countless hours of labor have raised a gleaming palace on the banks where the Chippewa and Eau Claire rivers meet. Now, it’s time for artists to breathe life into the Pablo Center at the Confluence. The center has put out a call for entries for its inaugural art show, “Confluence of Art Annual Exhibition,” which will run Aug. 31-Oct. 19 and be on display during the building’s grand opening. This show will be juried by Chicago intermedia artist Dana Major, whose current work is in sculptural light installation. The exhibition is open to any artist 18 years or older who wishes to apply. Pieces must be original work that have not been displayed in the Janet Carson Gallery (the existing gallery at the Eau Claire Regional Arts Center). Artists may enter up to three pieces before the submission deadline of June 18. Selected artists will be notified during the last week of July.
