Springfest Has Sprung: Three-day celebration returns to Chippewa Falls
Chippewa Falls’ SpringFest is just around the corner, so get ready for a three-day weekend of live music, events, and an ATV thrill show. SpringFest takes place April 27-29 at the Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds. The weekend is set to feature a variety of activities, including live music, a 5K run, food and drinks, a kubb championship, the Big Air ATV tour, and more than 55 local vendors. Sponsored by Volume One and Leinenkugel’s, the Kubb Championship will begin at 9am Saturday, April 28. The entry fee for each group is $60. The ATV Big Air Show will be held twice over the weekend, with one show at 4pm Saturday and the other at 2pm Sunday. This thrill show contains choreographed motorsports and a lot of action. (Tickets for the ATV show, which are separate from the tickets for SpringFest, are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate.) SpringFest also features a bike show, a 5K run and fun mile, and a classic car show. Chippewa Falls Rotary Foundation puts on SpringFest to raise money for nonprofits and scholarships among other things. Since SpringFest’s beginning, the foundation has raised over $71,000. Starting this year, the foundation’s signature program is the Chippewa Area Mentor Program, and foundation could donate up to $20,000 to the program. three-day tickets are $18 in advance or $20 at the gate, and one-day tickets will be available at the gate for $10. Best of all, admission is free for children 12 and under.
