Many Eau Claire residents have Eaux Claires mania due to the festival’s unparalleled musical selection. The Oxbow Hotel encourages this local musical mania with the third installation of the Lakely Limited Series, as they invite yMusic to perform on Dec. 3. Admission costs a total of $75, which includes a 5-course meal. Only a handful of tickets are available, so make sure you don’t miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime event! Eau Claire’s very own Riding Horses will kick off a musically experimental night. yMusic is a group of six New York instrumentalists dabbling in both classical and pop music; an interesting combination making for one magical performance. Their unique sound incorporates a string trio, flute, clarinet, and trumpet. yMusic is reforming the definition of music, creating unprecedented performances, such as their Carnegie Hall collaboration with composer Son Lux and producer Thomas (Doveman) Bartlett. Their generous talent hypnotizes audience members. Other collaborations include: Tallest Man on Earth, Ben Folds, Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Caroline Shaw, and John Legend. Come be a part of yMusic’s musical journey and influence.
