A popular pet-focused event is coming back to Eau Claire, only this time it’s bigger and in a spacious new location. The Exotic Pet Fair is a family-friendly event featuring responsible breeders and rescue organizations that have animals available for sale or adoption along with discounted pet supplies such as food, toys, cages, and accessories. Whether you own exotic pets or just want to see them up close, this event brings animal lovers together to share their passions. From feathered to scaled to furry critters, you can find just about any kind of pet at this fair (even stuffed animals for kids). Among the huge variety, there will be small mammals (chinchillas, sugar gliders, hedgehogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, fancy mice, etc.), birds (finches, canaries, cockatiels, conures, doves, etc.), reptiles and amphibians (bearded dragons, snakes, geckos, tortoises, salamanders, axolotls, frogs, etc.), bettas, tarantulas and other invertebrates, and much more. “This event offers the convenience of having pet supplies, knowledgeable breeders, and the pets themselves available all under one roof, so new pet owners can go home fully equipped with everything they need to set their new pet up for success,” explains Emily Roberts, the fair founder. It is also important for potentially new pet owners to research the animal they are interested in purchasing beforehand because all animals require different care and have varying lifespans. This will also help customers understand the questions they should ask breeders. If you’re interested in acquiring a new pet or simply want to learn more about animals, stop into the show and check out the free educational seminars held throughout the day. Bring your friends and family for a fun and educational experience.
