Ashley Furniture Gives $25k to Confluence Project

A western Wisconsin furniture company has pitched in $25,000 for the Confluence performing arts center. Arcadia-based Ashley Furniture announced the donation toward the public-private arts center in late February. Ground was broken for the downtown project last fall, and the arts center is slated to open in 2018. The total price tag for the project is estimated at $45 million, but higher-than-expected bids from potential contractors could drive that figure higher. Private donations for the Confluence surpassed a $15 million goal last year.
