Looking to kick those Wisco winter blues? Eat, drink, and give back to your local female leaders on Feb. 16. Eau Claire retailer Red’s Mercantile and K Point Brewery are hosting a cocktail and wine tasting fundraiser in support of the Red Letter Campaign in its kick-off year. The brainchild of Red’s Mercantile owner Becca Cooke, the Red Letter Campaign will award an aspiring female entrepreneur with the Red Letter Grant, a monetary gift dedicated to kick-starting her business. The grant will be funded by setting aside 15 percent of 2017 Red Letter Goods sales and through fundraisers like this one. Through the campaign, Cooke and fellow small business owners such as K Point’s Megan Kremer hope to widen the circle of professional female mentors and open dialogue about female business ownership in the Eau Claire community. The tasting will be held at K Point Brewery in Eau Claire. In addition to a selection of exclusively Wisconsin-and-Minnesota-made spirits, Red Letter Goods such as jewelry, magazines, and apparel for the whole family will be available for purchase.
