“I take photos as the basis for my paintings, selecting the ones I use for their unique properties. When I paint, I want to evoke the feeling I had when I looked at the scene – the scents, the sound, and the colors that drew me to it. ‘Carson Park’ depicts one of those hot fall days when the breeze is cool, the air smells of crushed leaves, and the vivid reds, golds, purples, and umbers overwhelm the senses.” – The Artist
