Solar Power Info Sessions Scheduled

V1 Staff |

Want to plug into clean energy from the sun but don’t know where to start? Check out one of two upcoming informational meetings in Eau Claire hosted by the Midwest Renewable Energy Association. The sessions will be on Thursday, June 30, and Thursday, July 14, both at 6:30pm and both at the Energy Education Center of Chippewa Valley Technical College’s West Campus, 4000 Campus Drive. (That’s near the intersection of North Clairemont Avenue and the North Crossing.) The meetings will address solar group buys, which involve community members combining their buying power to lower the cost of setting up solar energy systems. The sessions also will cover how rooftop solar works, provide typical pricing and financial information, discuss the approximate timeline for the group buy process, and use Google Earth to determine the viability of homes and businesses as solar sites.
