Sean Carey’s latest comes with a collaborative twist. The local multi-instrumentalist and songwriter got together with legendary Duluth indie rockers Low for an exclusive 10” record for Record Store Day (which was last weekend). The idea for the stunning combo came from producer BJ Burton, who’s worked with both Carey and Low, as well folks like Bon Iver, Aero Flynn, The Tallest Man on Earth, and the list goes on. Both tracks on either side of the translucent white vinyl record are around the 7-minute mark. “Not a Word” was an unfinished Low track that Burton worked with Carey to complete, and “I Won’t Let You Fall” was an unfinished S. Carey song that Burton worked with Low to complete. It’s an exclusive Record Store Day release, and there are only 4,000 copies or so out there in the world, so stop by your local record shop and snatch one up while you still can!
