Anything At All” by Cheyenne January
8-color silk screen print on pastel board, 14”x11”

Cheyenne January is a UWEC Bachelor of Fine Arts candidate emphasizing in Illustration. Her life’s work is dedicated to finding proof that aliens abducted her sister in November of 1973.

“This piece embodies the phenomenon of existence in the endless cycle of life. It started by reading the Edvard Munch quote: ‘From my rotting body, flowers shall grow and I am in them and that is eternity.’ From there, an embryonic version of my composition stirred in my mind and I started working. While I was drawing I kept contemplating how every living thing is in an infinite loop, how the death of one organism directly supports the new life of another. A lyric from a song I love came to mind while I was thinking about this – ‘I can’t believe how strange it is to be anything at all’ – and after some trial and error this print was born.” – The Artist
