The Children’s Museum of Eau Claire is making sure no little one gets left behind when it comes to ringing in the New Year. Their new event, Noon Year’s Eve, will run from 10am-Noon on December 31st. Get your photos taken in a New Year’s photo booth, work out some pent up energy with parachute playtime, and rock the mad scientist vibe with some sparkly science experiments – none of which you’ll end up having to do the clean up for. The celebration will culminate at noon with a toast and a hearty round of sparkling apple juice. When they’re not partaking in the end of year fun, children can experience the rest of the museum’s six exhibits that are spread out over three floors. There’s a ton of creative fun to be had, from putting on a theater production to crawling through an enlarged gastro-intestinal tract, or splashing around in the waterworks area. (Don’t worry, aprons are available to protect your kids from getting soaked.) Since this requires no extended bedtimes for little ones, this may actually free you up to spend the real New Year’s Eve celebrating (like an adult).
