Cheers! To uh ... singing!

Prepare yourselves – Christmas caroling season is officially here. In order to celebrate the holiday’s musical past, UW-Eau Claire’s Chamber Choir will deliver their annual “Ye Olde Madrigal Dinner.” The ensemble will perform Dec. 4-5 at 6:30pm both evenings. Shows will take place in the university’s Council Fire Room in Davies Center. From their old-fashioned garb to their traditional melodies, the student choral group of 16 may appear to have stepped straight out of the Elizabethan era. Those attending the madrigal dinner will not only be treated to songs of the Renaissance and holiday carol favorites, but will also receive a magnificent feast on behalf of the Chamber Choir. After the audience enjoys their meal, the “Royal Court Singers” will conclude with a short play.
