Away with the jack-o’-lanterns, black cats and fake spiderwebs! A new autumn month is dawning, and it’s time to get a head start on your holiday spirit and – more importantly – your holiday shopping. With November comes the annual Fine Arts and Crafts Fair, hosted by the Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts in downtown Menomonie. The event will feature the original, one-of-a-kind work of more than 30 local/regional artists and craftspeople. The artists and crafters will offer a huge wealth of wares, including jewelry, painting, pottery, photography, sculpture, woodwork, and more to help give attendees a  jump on their on Christmas shopping. The arts and crafts will be displayed on all three floors of the 125-year-old historic building. Attendees will also be treated to the sights of authentic Victorian holiday decorations and the sounds of seasonal music. This year marks the 16th anniversary of the Mabel Tainter Center’s acclaimed craft fair. Don’t miss the chance to experience the splendor of this free event. The Fine Arts and Crafts Fair will run Friday, Nov. 20 from 10am to 5pm and Saturday, Nov. 21, from noon to 5pm. A cash bar will be available both days.
