Musicians Band Together for Wildlife Fundraiser

Eric Christenson |

Musicians like Howard “Guitar” Luedtke, Gordy Bischoff, and the Larry Heagle band are all coming together in the spirit of wildlife conservation for the biannual Chippewa Valley Musicians Fundraiser for Wildlife Rehabilitation Nov. 2 at Eau Claire’s Maple Manor Lounge. Proceeds will benefit Patti Stangel’s effort to help nurture and re-release orphaned and injured birds and other wildlife in west-central Wisconsin. Stangel began her effort in 2012, and in her first full year of operation, Wildlife Rehabilitation and Release Inc. rehabilitated and released 484 birds and animals. She continues to work on extending physical facilities so she will be able to rehabilitate larger species such as eagles, deer, and bear rather than being able to give only emergency care before transport to other facilities.
