Tiny Hiney: “My Perfect Library”
Tiny Hiney is written by Eva Paulus, the seven-and-a-half-year-old daughter of Volume One columnist Mike Paulus (who writes The Rear End). For this installment, Eva wrote about libraries.
Why I Like the Library
I think the library is great. It has lots of books and DVDs, and I like that I feel cozy in the library. It is the perfect place for me. It has a lot of magazines, a play area, and computers. I think that it's a fun place to be. I really like it. I think there should be one two three four five million libraries in each state. Libraries are awesome.
I wonder if the White House has a library.* Well, if it doesn't, it should, because libraries are cool.
My Perfect Library
First Floor: children's section, talking computers, chapter books, check outs (for when you're ready to check out a book), play area (it has a bunch of stuff like rain sticks), adult books, soda machine, and a juice bar (if you are hungry)
Basement: cleaning supplies, workers' lounge, and an ice cream machine (for the workers only)
Second Floor: adult books, chapter books, play area (this one has a better view because it's higher up), and a snow room (so you can have fun in snow - inside!)
Third Floor: more adult books, more chapter books, elevators, and snowman statues (for an artistic FLAIR)
Fourth Floor: even more adult books! (a floor only for adults)
Fifth Floor: even more chapter books, and a popcorn machine (yum!)
Sixth Floor: assorted books, audio books, DVDs, and video games (best floor for browsers)
Seventh Floor (also known as "roof"): shaded area, more books (why not?), and beds (for cozy reading)
*Well, does it?
