The Millenium Brings Pop Punk Sound to ... America
In February, The Millenium released their album It’s So Much Friendlier With Two. Since then, the band has been hard at work honing their craft and touring around the U.S. They even recently released a new music video for their song “Ghost Town.” The band had originally wanted to do the live performance shots in a graveyard just outside of Chicago where Al Capone dumped his bodies, but unfortunately were caught up in the red tape with that endeavor, so instead they switched it to Magnanimous Recording Studios in Chicago. The intro shot of the video sets the tone for the whole thing, consisting of a floating paper crane. The four-piece ensemble chose this to be the main symbol throughout the video. “An old Japanese legend says that if you can fold 1,000 paper cranes that you will be cured of any illness by the Gods,” the band said through an email. “The crane is a symbol of longevity, fidelity, good fortune and is rumored to live for a thousand years,” they continued. The band is having an Eau Claire homecoming show on Sept. 5 at The Plus starting at 6 pm. Additionally, the group will be going back on tour at the end of September into early October. You can find all the dates of the tour on their Facebook page and can listen to their new video on YouTube.
