As the digital age continues to progress – with little sign of slowing down – new outlets for advertising and marketing begin to emerge. Social media has been the most recent beneficiary of this newfound business: Almost all major companies have a Facebook page or Twitter account. Unfortunately, many small businesses have not yet gotten behind this contemporary idea: According to industry surveys, only about half of small business owners have a social media presence.

But small businesses, fear not: Go Social Experts is a local business, founded in October by Brian Hahn, which focuses primarily on setting up and managing social media pages for businesses.

Social media experts have predominantly managed Facebook pages and Twitter accounts, but Go Social Experts takes it one step further by offering training, allowing clients to choose Go Social Experts’ involvement in the project.

Go Social Experts aim to get at the real issues involved in advertising on social media, dealing with questions such as, “How much have I spent on advertising and marketing in the past year? Can I afford to take a fraction of my typical marketing budget? What sort of feedback did I get, and was it valuable?” Go Social Experts makes managing social media accounts easy by teaching how to analytically post interesting content, allowing businesses to create a personality and rapport to better accommodate customers.

With new innovations in technology, the explosion of the Internet and the decline of print advertising, companies such as Go Social Experts have been rapidly increasing in numbers. As a blog post from GoSocialExperts.com explains, “You have to meet people where they’re at.” The blog continues: “With over 1 billion people on Facebook and the growing numbers on Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest, it’s no wonder business owners are taking advantage of this collective audience.”

Go Social Experts wants to make sure that customers’ LinkedIn profiles, Facebook pages and Twitter accounts distinguish them from the competition. While Go Social Experts has an office at 3057 N. Hastings Way, they will also come to the offices of their clients to provide their services.

“We want to bring businesses in the Chippewa Valley into the 21st century with the click of a button,” Hahn says. Services provided by Go Social Experts vary in cost depending on the package clients choose. Services can range from a single training session all the way to managing as many as 10 different social profiles.
Acknowledging that social media is still growing, Hahn wants to make sure businesses jump on the opportunity to go online now.
