UWEC's Eau Queer Film Festival Returns
The Eau Queer Film Festival is back for its second year at UWEC, running Oct. 13-16 and featuring 12 full-length films and 10 shorts. Three mini-documentaries were created by the 14 students who traveled to San Francisco for the second incarnation of the LGBTQA Travel Seminar through the Women’s Studies Program. “We have a wider selection of films this year because of our budget,” says Brenna Mueller, EQFF Director. “We are hoping to double the number of attendees from last year.” Taking feedback from last year’s festival, the films chosen this year aim for more variety. “There really is a film for everybody,” adds Publicity Director Katie Chaplin. All films are free and open to the public. Discussions are scheduled to follow the films, but if you can only make it to one, consider attending the discussion after the Saturday 4pm screening of Queer Scenes, where student filmmakers discuss their experiences.
