I’ve been fascinated by how dynamic the river is since I moved to Eau Claire a year and a half ago. I wanted to do a piece that dealt with that energy and flow in a fun way. This piece, like much of my work, is a blend of traditional media and digital coloring and texturing. – The Artist

What we were thinking: “Kevin Krueger''s  piece Swell Swell was created as part of the curriculum for Ned Gannon's Ilustration course over at UWEC. The artwork symbolizes the Chippewa River and how dynamic it is. The process Kevin used is a blend of traditional media and digital coloring and texturing. The contrast in the swells creates exceptional depth giving it an attention grabbing aesthetic.”
