An erotic tale written by local author J.A Finisterre (author of Cocksmith at the Helm) was recently published in the anthology, Nice Girls, Naughty Sex. The book features 20 short stories by 20 authors. Finisterre’s story is listed under the category, “Licorice Whips,” which explores the darker side of sex. Finisterre’s story is about a dissatisfied, married woman who has an affair with a man who she can finally trust. With this man she empowers herself by exploring her darkest fantasies. Finisterre feels that there is a tremendous power in sexuality that is often ignored, and his work often points to the sacred feminine. He notes that it is important to explain the minds of your characters and that erotica is 90 percent psychological. “Sex is a real good thing and we don’t make qualitative judgments. It is the internal that makes them stronger, weaker or poorer as human beings.”
