Your Book is Granted
UWEC staff member publishes grant writing book
Two heads are better than one, as they always say. And this is a sentiment continued in the new book, Collaborative Grantseeking: A Guide to Designing Projects, Leading Partners, and Persuading Sponsors, authored by Director of Grants and Contracts at UWEC Jeremy Miner. Inside, he explains how and why most grant sponsors will require collaboration between institutions before any money is awarded, and how you can use that knowledge to your advantage. In the 211-page book, published by Greenwood Press, there are real life examples of grant writers that have utilized collaboration to their benefit, and four successful applications in their entirety, complete with reviewer comments. This is Miner’s third book on the subject of grants, and he is rumored to hold the occasional informal discussion on grant seeking. For those of you looking to write a research proposal with the intention of being sponsored, this is one book you’re sure to want on your shelf.
