Figure in Isolation

209 Films. 9 Theaters. 5 Days. It’s all about the numbers with this year’s Wisconsin Film Festival. Held in Madison from March 30 through April 3, the festival features films from around the globe. 45 of which originate in our very own state – and one of which from right here in Eau Claire! Congrats to UWEC students and active NOTA contributors Kaleb Durocher and Michelle Chrzanowski for their stop-motion animation short Figure in Isolation. When choosing what films to see, event organizers urge moviegoers to be adventurous. With films including documentaries, animation, narratives, shorts, and an impressive lineup of experimental films, festival attendees can step outside their film comfort zone. The nine theaters include Madison’s beautiful Orpheum, several UW campus locations, and others throughout the heart of the city. All within walking distance, those attending will find it simple to travel from venue to venue to view their choice of films, many of which are state premiers of national limited releases.
