The UW-Eau Claire Music and Theatre department will present yet another production of its highly popular Cabaret this January – this being the 33rd of its kind. This year’s theme is “Broadcast,” and more than 100 students in the Voice/Choral and Jazz areas of the university have been preparing the musical variety show for the last few months. The production will feature dancing, an orchestra, and a wide range of musical styles. Acts will include solos, small groups, and full ensemble performances from the Concert Choir, Women’s Concert Chorale, Singing Statesmen, UWEC jazz ensembles, and the UWEC symphony orchestra. Directed, choreographed, and put together by student directors, Cabaret is designed to be appropriate for all ages, making this spectacular show a wonderful family event. Held in the Council Fire Room of the Davies Center, the doors open one hour before each performance. There will also be a dinner buffet available at 5:30pm in The Dulany (before the 7:30pm shows).
