Back to Mack

the crazy-voiced comic from northern Wisconsin returns

Just one of the hilarious poses Mary Mack is capable of making.

Comedian Mary Mack is returning to the Chippewa Valley! The northern Wisconsin native will bring her unique musical talents and her skewed observational humor to the stage of the Heyde Center. Whether it’s broken down cars, her bickering parents, or new commercial jingles, Mack brilliantly riffs on the absurd details of daily life. A keen performer who utilizes her high-pitched voice to great effect while singing and telling stories derived from a Wisconsin upbringing, she can bring laughter by slipping the punch line under her breath or even letting the audience get there first. Mack and her mandolin sing-alongs (such as the hilarious Faith-Based Roller Derby League Song) have been featured on the nationally syndicated Bob and Tom Radio Show, XM’s National Lampoon’s Comedy Network, and Minnesota’s Polka Spotlight. After winning the 2005 California’s Funniest Female Contest, she went on to appear in the Vancouver Comedy Fest, HBO’s Andy Kaufman Awards, and Montreal’s Just For Laughs Festival. Mack had her national TV debut on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham and was a semi-finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing.
