Anna Johnson

Anna Johnson is back home in Chippewa Falls, preparing for the release of her newest CD, Ready to Go. “This album is my jumping block,” Johnson said. “This is where it all begins.” Not long ago, Johnson was a fresh face, gaining local attention for her performances at the Living Room Coffee House. Johnson’s “big break” came midway through her first year at McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, when producer Billy Smiley got ahold of her demo. Smiley saw potential in the singer, and by August of 2009, Johnson had settled into her new home in Tennessee, eager to begin recording her new album. “I fell head over heels, with no question, in love with music,” Anna said. “My life changed. My life is still changing. And here I am.” Johnson is no longer just a local sensation. You can now purchase her first two CDs on iTunes, and radio stations all over the country have played her songs. “This is who I am, and what I am made for,” Johnson said. Her CD release concert was held in Chi-Hi’s auditorium on May 18, and will play the Phoenix Park Farmers Market on June 12.
