Arts Board Seeks Artists for Residency Program

As part of the a new partnership program entitled the “New Work Development Residency,” the Wisconsin Arts Board, Edenfred, and Overture Center for the Arts have announced a new performing artists residency program designed to help Wisconsin artists take their ideas to production. The program started with a goal to cultivate expression and creativity, as well as promote the arts and stimulate community and economic development and serve as a resource for culture and heritage. It will allow for individual or a collaborative team of artists to take up residence at Edenfred in Madison, and create a new work at Overture Center for the Arts during the month of August. Open to those people, ages 25+, who do work in dance, music, theater, or performance art categories. Application forms can be found at artsboard.wisconsin.gov and must be postmarked on or before April 9.
