Come check out Invisible Children’s newest documentary for FREE at UWEC’s Schofield Auditorium on March 23, at 7pm. After releasing their first documentary, Rough Cut, Invisible Children challenged all high schools and universities in the U.S. to raise $1 million for the cause. The five winning schools were awarded a trip to Uganda. Now, after having returned, Invisible Children has created a second documentary about the stories of these students and their experiences in Africa entitled Go!. Watch on campus and meet Pepito, a Ugandan youth featured in the documentary. After the film, Pepito will be telling more of his story, which involves seeing his father and sister killed and living in the IDP (internally displaced person) camps of northern Uganda. “These stories are real and happening right now, but people do not realize their significance – yet,” says Nicole Lancette, president of Invisible Children on campus. “Once people see the reality of all this injustice, it will inspire them to make a difference.”
