An Urge for Change

speaker to discuss hope in the hardest of places

Bailey Berg |

Hagar International, the internationally acclaimed and Eau Claire-based charitable organization that emphasizes restoring the quality of life to exploited and abandoned women and children in Cambodia, Afghanistan, and Vietnam, will be hosting award-winning speaker Angela Mason. Mason has served as an advocate for woman and children suffering as a result of abuse, neglect, poverty, and crisis for nearly 20 years. In that time, Mason has traveled the globe on humanitarian missions, walked over land mines, been shot at, met child soldiers, held babies orphaned by AIDS, and walked into prisons, brothels, and sweat shops where children are abused and exploited, working for change. Through her irresistibly compelling presentations, peppered with anecdotes, wisdom, and possibilities, Angela motivates audiences to make a difference in the world around them. Her presentation is entitled “Hope in Impossible Places.” Admission to the event is free, and refreshments will be served, but donations to further the work of Hagar are encouraged at the event.
