A Round Robin Show!
local band Farms continues to push the boundaries of Eau Claire rock show possibilities
Farms is quickly cornering the Chippewa valley market for fast, loud, progressive indie rock with a twist. Maybe that’s not getting deep enough. These guys don’t just want you to show up and watch them play, they want you to be part of the show. From sleepovers to interactive concerts, these guys definitely go the extra mile to ensure that Farms fans (a quickly growing group) will come away with more than just a couple of notches knocked off their hearing. Did I mention they’re super loud? Anyway, the newest idea from the Farms crew sees them teaming up with three other bands, each one making camp in a different corner of the Grand Little Theater. Instead of having the traditional opening acts followed by the headliner, the bands will switch off after every few songs to form some sort of mashed-up super show. Tentatively called The Round Robin Show, it will feature bands from all over the Midwest whose only real shared goal is to make legitimate, thought-provoking art. Oh, and after the show these guys are all having a sleep over together. Yeah, a sleep over. Bring your ninja turtles sleeping bag because things just might get a little messy.
