B Horror Movie Starring a Local to Premiere at Micon

Heather Mawhiney |

After years of underground atomic testing at the Wisawa caves, the natural wildlife has been adversely affected, causing radical transformations. During cave exploration, a doctor and colleague find evidence to support the disappearance of local children. Once reported to the authorities, the two lead a rescue attempt with the sheriff and the children’s father, facing not only the danger of the caves themselves, but of the terror lurking beneath. This it is synopsis of Terror From Beneath the Earth, premiering at Micon Cinemas, in Chippewa Falls, on Sept. 13, at 5:15pm and 7:15pm. This spoof (or homage) to those classic black and white B horror films of the 50s stars the Chippewa Valley’s own Mike Cook as the doctor. Though the film is unrated, it may not be suitable for kids under 7, and tickets for all ages are priced at $5. Cast members will be available to meet moviegoers and there will be photo ops with the monster after each showing.
