As you can tell, Ben is a humorous individual.

Do you wish you were Wayne Brady? Does Ryan Stiles leave you in stitches? Eau Claire is proud to introduce its own Who’s Line Is It Anyway?, and you’re invited to play. No worries … you don’t even have to be funny. Expand your horizons this summer with Improv Comedy 101, a great opportunity for the bashful and brave to meet new people, think creatively, build confidence, and have fun. Don’t think you’re funny enough? “Everybody is funny. If you don’t think you’re funny, we’ll help you find your funny,” insists Ben Richgruber, executive director of the Eau Claire Regional Arts Center and instructor of the two eight-week improv sessions. For the doubtful, consider this: improv is also about thinking on your feet and creating a scene in immediate time and space, both of which are transferrable skills in everyday situations. “You can’t get stuck when you do improv,” Richgruber says, which is why the workshop is ideal for people of all ages. With a mix of home-grown games and exercises from Who’s Line Is It Anyway?, participants are sure to have fun … and maybe they’ll learn a little something, too.
